Revealing Life Through Ultrasound   The addition of limited obstetrical ultrasound to the Life Choices Ministry has opened a beautiful window to the womb allowing pregnant women the ability to meet their babies for the first time.  With the life-saving technology of ultrasound, women and men are now seeing the truth about the creation of life - that the child before birth is a human being with a future, not a future human being.

   Since our inception as a crisis pregnancy center in 1986, Life Choices has been dedicated to counseling young women and men to continue the life of their unborn child.  We have been diligent to extend God's grace and mercy by offering help, hope, and healing to women broken over past abortions.  Families seeking to fulfill their desire for the placement of an adopted child into their home and birthmothers making a plan for adoption have been part of our counseling ministry.  Encouraging purity and speaking of abstinence until marriage has been a life-affirming message counseled to thousands.  But counseling alone cannot eliminate abortion in our community.

   In January of 2007, the doors to our new medical center opened allowing Life Choices to offer free ultrasound imagery to women at risk for abortion.  Our nation suffers with over 1.3 million abortions every year.  With our completely trained client advocate staff and staff of professional nurses, Life Choices' medical intervention is now our best hope for eliminating abortion in our community.

 

Taking Baby Steps Program

   After our medical professional performs a pregnancy test and an ultrasound is given to confirm a viable pregnancy, a woman may choose to enter the Life Choices Taking Baby Steps program.  By deciding to enroll in TBS, she is choosing to receive help to make a plan for herself and for her baby.  Every day at Life Choices, women and men face decisions about their pregnancy and parenting that will affect the course of future generations.  This program is designed to help them make life-affirming decisions and includes parenting and /or adoption decision making workbooks and videos which include pregnancy care, character/relationship development, prenatal development, baby care, and more.  A counselor works with them from time to time to ensure that all their questions are answered and pregnancy needs are met.  Childbirth and baby care classes are also available. 

 

Adoption . . . a life-affirming decision

   Life Choices is a state-licensed Christian adoption agency offering complete adoption services for birth parents and adoptive families.  We believe adoption to be a Godly

and biblically-rooted concept.  Adoption is a life-affirming option for a woman experiencing an unintended pregnancy as well as a desirable way for a couple to build their Christian family.  We use a team approach in uniting families, with the birth family, adoptive family, and social worker making decisions together in the best interest of the baby.  Adoption is not the right decision for many moms, and we do not encourage adoption over parenting.  Instead, we trust that God will reveal His perfect plan to the biological parents to whom He has entrusted the child.

 

Sexual Purity . . . a life decision for the heart

   Regardless of age, gender, or belief system, having sex outside of marriage puts you at risk.  A great number of risks can enter your life - an unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and emotional pain that can last a lifetime.  Life Choices desires to educate everyone, especially our teens, regarding God's perfect plan for producing a lasting love relationship - purity and abstaining from sex until marriage.  God commands us in Proverbs 4:23, "Above all else, guard your heart - for it is the wellspring of life."  The decision to remain pure is therefore a life-affirming one.  Make that bold and courageous choice - one that will protect your heart for the rest of your life.

H.O.P.E. . . . a life decision for healing

   Post-abortion trauma is painful, confusing, and woven with shame.  Those who experience it feel isolated, hopeless, and unwilling to relate the deep inner hurt to others, fearing they will be misunderstood and rejected. 

   Life Choices' post-abortion outreach, H.O.P.E. (Helping Others with Post-abortion Experiences), provides a safe, confidential place for women to share their pain and struggles in a non-judgmental and caring atmosphere.

   A woman's decision to recognize and deal with unresolved grief and loss will bring hope and healing to her life.  Life Choices offers individual help, support groups, and Bible studies for women who are suffering from the devastation of abortions in their past.

   At the very heart of our ministry is the message of the Gospel.  Life Choices exists to provide life-affirming choices to abortion-minded and abortion-vulnerable women and so there is the need to present our Savior's offer of abundant life to every client.  Abortion is more than just a political and social issue.  Abortion is a heart issue - a spiritual issue.  Life Choices believes that this message of life through Jesus Christ our Lord is not just priority but critical for the very souls of the women and men seeking our counsel.  For without Jesus, there is no life - there is no hope.
